What are your hobbies/interests?

I like to read and online shop lmao. I’ve been too busy to do it, but I like knitting although I haven’t actually made anything yet. The same goes for baking but everything I make is either burnt or just nasty lol

Favorite book: my favorite childhood books was anything by Eric Carle. My all time favorite book that I’ve reread is The Kite Runner.

I don’t know if I have a favorite artist but I like Sam Smith and I think I’m starting to become a Swiftie with her most recent releases (all of which are Fall bops)

Honesty, kindness, remaining true to myself, family, friends, discipline but also flexibility

Why did you join HMSA?

I joined because I wanted to connect more with my community. I feel like for the longest time, I’ve been disconnected and I haven’t really had any interactions with the Hmong student population at the University. So I wanted this to be an opportunity where I could share my own experience as a Hmong individual and listen to those who could relate and understand the cultural nuances that we possess.

What are your hopes/aspirations/goals?

I hope to graduate 👩🏻‍🎓 My hope is that I never stop learning and growing. I hope to remember to be kind to not only those around me but to myself as well. My future plans aren’t entirely certain right now but whatever I decided to do, I hope it brings me joy and that it fulfills me in some aspect. 

I hope HMSA continues to be an organization that never takes its community for granted, and that it continuously strives to become an entity welcoming to all.
